Ýves & Elspeth’s SCA scroll portfolio |
Updated: 08 Mar 2009 |
This is the index page to a portfolio of SCA artwork by Ýves de Fortanier and Elspeth nic Cormac in the form of scrolls for competition winners and awards of recognition. The portfolio is arranged by year of completion.
Added March 2009: Slimbox image preview; you'll
like it...
My lady, Elspeth nic Cormac, has done most of the drawing and painting.
Especially the fancier stuff. That's why the later stuff looks better...
| 1998 | Elspeth and I made ten prize scrolls for Red Tower. This page has the ones for the thrown weapon competitions (axe, knife, spear, and overall winner). |
| 2000 | Practice for personalized service award scrolls for the Order of the Red Raven (the kingdom-level service award for the Barony of the South Downs). We did four that year, but so far only one is online. |
| 2001 | Three Red Raven scrolls and one example of why you shouldn't spill water all over a scroll painted with gouache (can you say "heartbreaker"?). |
| 2002 | Two scrolls: an "Argent Plunger" |
| 2003 | Two personalized Red Raven scrolls, one with an Arabic theme. Also, a very simple scroll for the winner of the Baron's Prize List (which, that year, was for fencers). |
| 2004 | Four personalized Red Raven scrolls and a royal invitation (calligraphy only) to attend one of our events. |
| 2005 | One personalized Red Raven scroll - which features a creative fix for someone who changed their persona name! We did another one that isn't yet online. |
| (2006) | We did three Red Raven scrolls - the last year we did them. |
