Ýves & Elspeth’s calligraphy and illumination portfolio2002 |
| Updated: Jul 29, 2005 |
This page is part of an online portfolio of SCA artwork by Yves de Fortanier and Elspeth nic Cormac. We did these in 2002.
All done on 11"×14" Bristol board (Strathmore's 300 Series).

"Argent Plunger" for Carol Jane Ravenridge NOTE: The image to the left is just the upper-right portion of the piece. This was a silly faux award, but it and the scroll were presented with true love and respect. Text, calligraphy, and illumination are all my doing. Elspeth drew the lady figure for me. See the "2000" page in this portfolio to see her Red Raven scroll... |

Pages' School graduation for Allanna Arabic-style calligraphy with English words with spelling done from right-to-left. Elspeth did all of the illumination. Medium-size (74k), Large-size (183k)
Take a look at the three sheets I used for practice... and watch how the calligraphy evolves! |
The margins are cropped so that the image fits nicely on a typical 8.5×11" scanner.
Your feedback is most welcome!
