A detailed listing of who sells supplies and equipment for fencers – prices, policies, and links for suppliers of armor, shields, weapons, rubberband guns, wooden weapons (wasters), and more.

The results from my big survey for SCA rapier. Fifty-six pages listing about 3,500 comments from over 500 people. Some tables of statistics too.

An article on four types of demos featuring SCA rapier.

A combat scenario for three participants: Bedlam in the Boudoir!

It features a strong emphasis on entertainment through roleplaying. The scene: A jealous 'husband' comes home early to find his 'wife' with a 'paramour'. The only way out for the paramour is past the husband – who isn't happy. The wife might help the paramour, or the husband, or be of no help at all! By default, the weapons and behavior of the husband and wife are randomized for each scene. The 'paramour' gets a higher score by [1] being entertaining, and [2] not killing the 'husband'.

Photos from the Arts of War event (hosted by Bryn Madoc) where said scenario was run for the first time.

My most recent version of a basic training course for SCA single rapier. I'm going to update this again someday. The more I learn about historical fencing, the more I realize that my idea needs improvement. At least it's better than what I had several years before...

Prize scroll

The nifty, way-cool scroll I got at Red Tower XXXII. Artwork by Serena da Riva. Upon learning the identity of the recipient, she opted to leave the fill-in calligraphy blank...
