Using a table format to run a list,

A report on my second live example of using a table format instead of a tree format to run an elimination list in an SCA combat tournament.
The Shire of Tal Mere (based on Carrollton, Georgia) hosts an annual event called the Lusty Month of May. In May 2005, I ran their tournament. Eighteen fighters, one field.

Fighter 18 got a "pass" and should get the first fight in the next round. No bye fight.

FINAL ROUND
Interestingly, this left the only two fighters who had been given a "pass". His Highness was present and decreed that both fighters be given a clean slate: the final round format would be the best two out of three bouts. Fighter #9 won.
EPILOG
As noted elsewhere, this was my second time using the table format for a live tourney. It was a little easier than the first time due to there being only one field. I hope to improve on this with more practice.
