Using a table format to run a list,

The Shire of Tal Mere (based on Carrollton, Georgia) hosts an annual event called the Lusty Month of May. In May 2005, I ran their tournament. Eighteen fighters, one field.

[Actually, it should have been the first bout in the next round, but I goofed.]

FINAL ROUND
Interestingly, this left the only two fighters who had been given a "pass". His Highness was present and decreed that both fighters be given a clean slate: the final round format would be the best two out of three bouts. Fighter #9 won.
EPILOG
As noted elsewhere, this was my second time using the table format for a live tourney. It was a little easier than the first time — only one field. I hope to improve on this with more practice.
Your feedback is most welcome!
My nifty email form stopped working ... but you can still send me email if you would like to.
