Feasting and Fun!

SCHEDULE
2:30  Site opens.
3:00  Heraldic consultation (? - tentative).
6:00  Feast begins.  

Before feast:
* Gaming overseen by Lord Guillaume the gaming guru
  (Dominoes, among other things.)
* Baronial Court at the whim of Their Excellencies Conmaol and Ximena.
  (Since it IS their whim, this COULD be during and/or after feast too.)

Before/during feast:
* Live background music by Peach Curry during part of the feast. 
  Any and all other volunteers are welcome.

After feast:
* Revelry, Dancing, Bells & Pillows
* Start clean-up around 10pm to close site by 11pm.

And sometime during the day, we might see Father Christmas...

FEAST
THLord Borgar the Bright is in charge of providing the meats.
He's bringing hams and turkeys!
Based on your persona, please bring a dish to feed at least four people:

* French, Irish, Norman, or Scottish - vegetable or fruit dish
* English, "Middle Eastern" or "Viking" - non-bread starch dish 
  (like beans, couscous, hummus, pasta, rice, etc.)
* Germanic, Italian, Saxon or Swiss - dessert
* Everyone else (including Dutch, "Oriental", Spanish, Rus, Welsh, 
  or no persona) - bread and/or cheese 

If, like Yves, you have multiple personas: pick one - 
  or you could bring a dish for each persona!
If you haven't attended before - yes, bring feastgear if you can.
If you have extra feastgear or garb to loan, please bring it.

Your $3 donation (more or less) will help cover the cost of the site, meat and drinks.

The map is a little outdated, Macedonia Road now has an intersection
with the East-West Connector!


From points southwest, south, and southeast (includes south and central metro Atlanta): Take your best route to exit 44 on I-20 (Thornton Rd, GA 6) going north. You're about 15 minutes from the site. Go about 2.6 miles. The road merges into US 278. Go 4.7 miles. Turn right onto Brownsville Road. In about a mile, Brownsville will merge into Marietta St. (Welcome to downtown Powder Springs...) Go about half a mile. Turn left onto New Macland Rd (GA 176). Go about a mile. Turn right onto Macedonia Rd. Go about half a mile, pass Forest Hill Rd on the right. Wild Horse Creek Park will be on the left. Turn in - the building is right there. Going home - go out right on Macedonia, left on New Macland, etc.
From the northwest (Bartow, NE Paulding, NW Cobb counties): Take your best route to GA 176 (Mars Hill Rd, Lost Mountain Rd) - and go south toward Macland. After it crosses GA 360, the road becomes New Macland Rd. You're about 4 minutes from the site. Go about two miles, turn left on Macedonia Rd. Go about half a mile, pass Forest Hill Rd on the right. Wild Horse Creek Park will be on the left. Turn in - the building is right there. Going home - go out right on Macedonia, right on New Macland, etc.
From the northeast (Marietta): Take your best route to Powder Springs Road (GA 360) going south. When GA 360 becomes Macland Road, bear left and continue on Powder Springs Road going south. You're about 8 minutes from the site. Go almost 3 miles, turn right onto the East-West Connector. At the first light, turn left onto Macedonia Road. Go about 2 miles. After you cross Hopkins Road, look for the building on the right and turn in. Going home - go out left on Macedonia for about 2 miles, right on the East-West Connector, left on Powder Springs, etc.
From north metro Atlanta: Take your best route to I-285 at exit 16 (South Atlanta Road). Exit right (west). You're about 15 minutes from the site. Go about 0.4 miles and turn left onto Camp Highland Road. Go about 0.6 miles. When the road crosses S Cobb Dr (GA 280), it becomes the East-West Connector. Stay on the E-W Connector for 8.4 miles. Cross Powder Springs Rd. Go the first light, turn left onto Macedonia Road. Go about 2 miles. After you cross Hopkins Road, look for the building on the right and turn in. Going home - go out left on Macedonia about 2 miles, right on the East-West Connector, etc.
From Hiram and points directly west: Take your best route to US 278 going east. You'll go from Paulding County into Cobb County. You're about 8 minutes from the site. Go past the intersection for GA 6 (Bus) and Elliott Rd. Go about a mile. Turn/bear right on Florence Rd. Go about 0.6 miles, turn/bear left onto GA 6 (Bus). Go about a mile, the road becomes Marietta St. (Welcome to downtown Powder Springs...) Go about half a mile, turn left onto New Macland Rd (GA 176). Go about a mile. Turn right onto Macedonia Rd. Go about half a mile, pass Forest Hill Rd on the right. Wild Horse Creek Park will be on the left. Turn in - the building is right there.
