Children's Activities and Feast
- Children under the age of five will enjoy a variety of activities,
including a NAP after lunch!
- Classes: heraldry by Lord Dubhncain, youth combat; doing magic
tricks by Lord Greggor, castles (two hours - half lecture, half construction) by Lady Aleruna,
and dances with m'lady Rhonda.
- Parents must sign in their children for each class.
- Parents are also asked to spend one hour assisting with the children's
activities.
- Dance class: Your children can learn some dances after their feast.
- Feast: Open to ages 4-11 (preschoolers need an adult or teenager
with them). 11 children have been reserved for feast, with a few more on the way.
First Remove
Cheese strings and cubes, Bread critters with butter, Carrot sticks, Cups
of seasonal fruit
Second Remove
Chicken legs, Savory green beans, Buttered noodles, Homemade applesauce

Featured Conveniences
- Porters will be available upon your arrival
to assist with the unloading of your carriage.
- A Solar will available all day for those
who simply wish to visit with friends and play games, do needlework, and other such pastimes.
Food/Feast
For those who wish to break their fast with us upon arrival, simple
fare of items such as bread, butter, fruit, juice and warmer beverages (including coffee), will
be provided.
The mid-day meal will feature a hearty vegetable stew, bread and
cheese.
(This means your site fee includes breakfast and lunch!)
Directions to nearby eateries (a short drive) will be available for those who simply MUST
eat elsewhere...
Spaces remaining as of 16-Nov-2001: about 16 (with populace
seating increased to 104 chairs).
Number of folks that I'm aware of planning to pay at the site and get feast (populace
seating): about 14.
Even so, arrive early to guarantee your seat at the feast. The cooks are preparing
food for 128. We won't turn anyone away if at all feasible. If by chance you have reserved with
me (especially for feast) and you know you can't make it to the Collegium, let me know ASAP.
The feast will have three removes and a dessert course.
First Remove
Bread and butter, Celery, Fruits of the season
Second Remove
"Scarborough" chicken(with rosemary, parsley, thyme, and sage)
Tart of mushrooms(mushroom pie)
Buttered wortes(sauteed spinach with butter onions and garlic)
Perys in Syrippe(pear confit with pomegranate seeds)
Third Remove
Ham served with mustard sauce and pottage of raysons (warm fruit conserve)
Cabbage sallat(cabbage salad)
Carrots
Dessert
Gingerbread with lemon
Beverages
Water, Lemonade, Iced tea

and maybe even a knight or two present to take questions from children
and parents.

His Royal Highness, Artan, will hold ROYAL COURT on behalf of our
King and Queen, Radu and Broinnfhionn. It will probably start between 5:45 and 6:00 and I'm
told it should last for no more than about ten minutes.
When Court ends, Peers of the Realm and their Households may arrange their feast settings
and take leave of the hall; the populace will be invited to do likewise five minutes later.
The Great Hall will then be closed so that the servers may place the first remove and light
candles. The populace will be called to return. Those seated at High Table may process in and
feast will commence at the pleasure of HRH Artan, Heir to the Throne of Meridies.
Revelry to follow the feast - bring your dancing shoes! See the

In accordance with Kingdom Law: No family shall pay a site fee more than that
of three adult members,
as long as all of the children are all under age 18 and have current
memberships. Note that this does not include food.
A reservation PAID is a reservation MADE. With your
mailed reservation check (or via e-mail), please send me a note with your SCA names, membership
numbers and expiration dates as applicable.
Directions to the Site
Take your best route to Atlanta!

From the northeast (I-85): Take I-85 South past I-285. Go about 4.8
miles.
Take exit 91, turn left onto Clairmont Rd (US 23/GA 155). Go about
3.75 miles.
Turn right on N Decatur Rd. Go about half a mile.
The site will be on the right at Westminster.
On the map, this is the dark teal highlight that merges into the green.
From the east (I-20): Take the exit for I-285 North. Go about 4.7 miles.
Take exit 41, turn right onto Memorial Dr (GA 10).
Go about half a mile to the traffic light for Collingwood and turn left.
Go about 200 yards and turn left at the light onto N Decatur Rd.
Go about 4.2 miles. Pass Clairmont Rd (US 23/GA 155).
Go about half a mile, the site will be on the right at Westminster.
On the map, this is the bright blue highlight.
From the south (I-75 or I-85): Take the interstate into downtown. Pass
I-20.
Go about a mile more, take exit 248C for Freedom Pkwy (GA 10). Turn right.
At the split just past the long underpass, bear right onto E Freedom
Pkwy (GA 42 CONN).
Go about half a mile, turn left at the dead end onto Moreland Ave (US
23/GA 42).
Go about a quarter of a mile, the road will cross Ponce de Leon Ave
and become Briarcliff Rd (still GA 42).
Go about 1.3 miles, turn right at the light onto N Decatur Rd.
Go about 1.5 miles, passing Emory University, the site will be on the left
at Westminster.

From the west (I-20): Take the interstate toward downtown Atlanta.
Get on I-75/85 North and use the directions above for "From the south"
starting at the second line.
From the northwest (I-75): Take the interstate in past I-285. Go about
8 miles.
Take Exit 103 for I-85 North. Go about 4.3 miles.
Take Exit 89 for N Druid Hills Rd (south).
Go about 2 miles, turn right at the light onto Clairmont Rd.
Go about 1.6 miles. Turn right at the light onto N Decatur Rd.
Go about half a mile, the site will be on the right at Westminster.
